Purpose of Position
Support of the Housing Program Manager in providing counseling and educational services to clients in accordance with Urban League and HUD requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain contract compliance as required by funders and administration.
- Conduct quality reviews of service delivery, program outcomes, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Train and assist Certified Housing Counselors, financial advisors, and support staff.
- Manage program recruitment, marketing, and community outreach.
- Participate in the writing, preparation, and submitting of grant applications.
- Ensure timely and accurate program reporting.
- Provide Housing Counselor services to clients as needed.
Qualifications
Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities.Working knowledge of grants management, guidelines, and compliance.Project management, grants management, budget management, and small business support.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Sound independent judgement.Ability and willingness to take direction from senior leadership.Proficient in Word and Excel.Education / Experience
Bachelors degree preferred. T wo years of experience serving as a HUD Housing Counseling Assistant Program Manager, and three years as a HUD Certified Housing Counselor . Comparable industry experience in mortgage lending, mortgage loan processing, or underwriting will be considered.
