Purpose of Position

Support of the Housing Program Manager in providing counseling and educational services to clients in accordance with Urban League and HUD requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain contract compliance as required by funders and administration.
  • Conduct quality reviews of service delivery, program outcomes, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Train and assist Certified Housing Counselors, financial advisors, and support staff.
  • Manage program recruitment, marketing, and community outreach.
  • Participate in the writing, preparation, and submitting of grant applications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate program reporting.
  • Provide Housing Counselor services to clients as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities.
  • Working knowledge of grants management, guidelines, and compliance.
  • Project management, grants management, budget management, and small business support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound independent judgement.
  • Ability and willingness to take direction from senior leadership.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Education / Experience

    Bachelors degree preferred. T wo years of experience serving as a HUD Housing Counseling Assistant Program Manager, and three years as a HUD Certified Housing Counselor . Comparable industry experience in mortgage lending, mortgage loan processing, or underwriting will be considered.
