About the role

We’re seeking a PE-certified Structural Engineer to lead design and stamping of C&I solar structures—parking canopies, rooftop attachments, and ground-mount foundations. You’ll own structural scope from concept through construction, coordinating across internal teams, vendors, and AHJs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for steel / aluminum solar canopies, rooftop attachment systems, and ground-mount foundations (piers, helical, ballast, micropiles).
• Develop sealed calculation packages, design narratives, and structural letters; review and stamp drawings.
• Apply ASCE 7-16 / 7-22, IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, AISI, and applicable local amendments for wind, snow, seismic, and drift checks.
• Evaluate existing structures and roofs for added loads; determine reinforcement / attachment strategies.
• Review vendor submittals, connection details, and shop drawings; respond to RFIs and AHJ comments.
• Provide construction support and occasional site observations; mentor junior staff and interns.
• Manage schedules and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
