Specific Duties
- Provide academic technology related support to faculty, staff, students and community members such as Qualtrics, Digication, MS Office, Adobe Suites, Web content development, SnagIt, Camtasia, and other related academic technology software and tools.
- Assist in developing computer applications such as dynamic web applications, mobile apps, and virtual reality related projects.
- Provide instructions, orientations, and workshops on academic technology related topics.
- Assist in researching emerging technologies for faculty and students to use to enhance their teaching and / or learning experience.
- Assist in community engagement activities such as Maker Fair, Robotic Summer Camps as well as providing solutions to solve real life problems using IoT devices, Raspberry Pi; etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Wilson Library professional staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of computer programs such as : Google apps and Microsoft Office.Use of Blackboard.Interested in learning new skills, software / applications, and technology.Technologically savvy : Comfortable navigating most applications and computer-based software.Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable with a well-developed self-management skill set.Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to build strong supportive working relationships with faculty, staff, and students construct their own understanding of the academic technology available to them.Ability to take initiative, work independently, problem-solve, and adapt quickly in a busy work environment.Demonstrated dependability and responsibility in other work or volunteer positions.Must be a current ULV student.Preferred Qualifications
Computer knowledge and experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google apps, Digication, Qualtrics, SPSS, R, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom) meta-data tagging, and database management.Have a diverse interest in technology, computer science and / or engineering.Knowledge of media such as photography, video shooting / editing.Computer Application development experience in C++, HTML / CSS, Mobile apps, SQL / Access.Benefits Summary Employees are eligible for the following benefits :
