The Medical Assistant makes sure the back-office is flowing smoothly and that patients are seen in a timely manner. The MA will perform phlebotomy, perform laser therapy, and prepare injections. The MA will assist the provider as needed and ensure that the provider stays on time and is made aware of any issues with the patients. The MA will maintain a clean and well-organized back-office work environment.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant makes sure the back-office is flowing smoothly and that patients are seen in a timely manner. The MA will perform phlebotomy, perform laser therapy, and prepare injections. The MA will assist the provider as needed and ensure that the provider stays on time and is made aware of any issues with the patients. The MA will maintain a clean and well-organized back-office work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains medical supply inventory and coordinates with the office manager on when to order.
  • Ensures all rooms are clean and ready for the next patient.
  • Labels all blood draws with patients name.
  • Understands how to properly prepare injections using the Emcyte Kits.
  • Must be able to assistant in a bone marrow procedure.

  • Ability to draw blood.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to keep nervous patients calm.
  • Ability to have a good pulse on appointment flow.
