Description :

This position involves working in a cardiovascular unit providing care for cardiac and neuro stepdown patients.

The unit has a capacity of 36 beds.

Patients served range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 to 60+).

The RN will monitor cardiac patients and administer cardiac drips.

Post heart catheterization care and management of stroke / neuro patients are also required.

There is a focus on BIPAP overflow management as needed.

The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 6.

The core staffing plan includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns.

An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.

Travel may be required to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity.

Travelers will be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is necessary.
