Wood Framing Foreman

Franjo Construction ( - Voted 5x Top Workplace) is looking for a Wood Framing Foreman to supervise and coordinate field crews in the construction, installation, and repair of structural wood framing for commercial building projects. This position ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. The Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader, working closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, and crew members to maintain productive daily operations. This includes, but not limited to, coordination and execution of all self-performed work, assisting with and properly managing all subcontractors. The Foreman will have general knowledge / understanding of all contract documents and project schedule ensuring a safe and successful project to be delivered on time.

This position will work in the surrounding Pittsburgh, PA area and will report directly to the Self Perform Operations Project Manager, and indirectly to the Site Superintendent.

Essential Functions

Project Execution

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Layout walls, floors, roofs, and other framing systems accurately.
• Ensure framing materials are installed per code, plans, and company standards.
• Coordinate equipment, tools, and material needs with the Superintendent.
• Monitor quality control and correct work issues promptly.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.

Position Type

This position is a Full-Time position which will typically involves 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early / late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.

Travel

Travel percent- 0-30%, depending on projects.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proper documentation. This position does not offer sponsorship
