About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Financial Officer to join our committed executive team. In this essential leadership role, you will spearhead our organization’s financial strategy and operations, aligning our fiscal management with our mission to end homelessness through innovative housing and supportive services. Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning while ensuring precise and timely financial reporting. You will manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to sustain our efforts.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and possess over 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 6 years in a financial leadership capacity, preferably within the nonprofit sector. Expertise in nonprofit financial management, fund accounting, and grant compliance is highly desirable. Exceptional budgeting, forecasting, and audit function management skills are critical, along with outstanding communication abilities and a collaborative, mentoring leadership style.

A Master’s degree, CPA, or related advanced qualifications are advantageous. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and the Board Finance Committee. Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems, particularly Sage Intacct, will be beneficial for success in this role.
