BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking Mental Health Technicians to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Northside Behavioral Health in Tampa!

Mental Health Technician II Position Details :

Facility : Northside Behavioral Health

Location : Tampa, FL

Status : Full time & Pool, Hourly

Shift Hours : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM or 6 : 45 Am - 7 : 15 PM

Weekend Work : Every Other

On Call : No

The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities :

Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.

Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

Required Certification / Licensures :

BLS (Basic Life Support)

CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred

Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education :

High School or Equivalent

Associate's degree in related field - Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

Required Experience :

Mental Health Technician II - Required 6 months of Psychology based experience or bachelor's degree in related field

Mental Health Technician Pool - Preferred 6 months of Psychology based experience
