Supply Chain Specialist 2

Purchases a high volume and variety of materials, supplies and services. Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.

Knowledge of procurement contracting methodologies used to acquire services of all types, including enterprise wide synergy agreements and contracts. Experience creating and utilizing Outline Agreements, Corporate Agreements, Catalogs and standard purchase orders in SAP.

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience. One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications :

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School / GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School / GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Preferred Qualification : Possess a working knowledge of various contracting methods and able to apply them appropriately - (Firm Fixed Price, Cost type, Incentive Fee, Award Fee, T&M, LH).
