The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Denver has a job opening for a Building Manager. The college is home to five academic departments : Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geography and the Environment, Mathematics, and Physics and Astronomy. The college offers over 30 degrees, ranging from Bachelor of Arts to Doctor of Philosophy, as well as having many active research labs funded through extramural sources.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Operations, the Building Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations and user experience of the NSM buildings. This position will oversee and work with the Facilities Management and Planning team on renovations and small projects, day-to-day maintenance, and cleaning for the buildings. Additionally, this position will be responsible for all operations of the buildings, including but not limited to building access, furniture, signage, coordination of deliveries directly from vendors, shared lab equipment maintenance renewals, development of safety manuals, procedures, and training for specialized equipment.
Essential Functions
In addition to following the University of Denver's policies and procedures, responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Everything below pertains to the NSM Buildings : Boettcher West, Boettcher Auditorium, Olin Hall, Seeley G. Mudd, Physics Building, and Knudson Hall, all managed by this position
Troubleshoot all repair issues and submit work orders.
Relocate furniture as needed.
Meet quarterly with custodial supervisors.
Assist with vendor contract for specialized equipment that includes maintenance, renewal, and upgrades.
Update Emergency Response Plan yearly and submit to Campus Safety.
Work with Facilities on Yearly DFD building inspections.
Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety, Chemistry, and Biology as needed.
Manage door access requests and set up.
Work with Key Shop regarding Persona keypad problems and installation.
Ensure whiteboards are in good shape : cleaned, repaired.
Support with requests from the Dean, Department Chair, and Assistant Dean of Business Operations on office and lab assignments and other space allocation issues.

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is 9.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000.
