PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Founded in 1980 by three surgeons, Boston Medical Products is a small company proudly manufacturing and distributing medical devices for ear, nose, and throat surgery. The ideal candidate for this role has experience with medical devices, silicone injection and compression molding, and a strong mechanical background.

Experience Requirements Overview

• Molding experience required
• Engineering education
• Injection and compression molding machines
• Interpret equipment electrical drawings for testing and troubleshooting
• Cleanroom operation and preventative maintenance
• Tooling management, operation, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Molding machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Production equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Preventative maintenance of molding machines and production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Continuous improvement
• IQ, PQ, OQ
• Quality system documentation including standard operating procedures
• Quality control processes and standards
• Training of production team members as needed
• Time management including project prioritization
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office based software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
