(6-8) Teacher

Minimum Qualifications and Training :

• Requires a Bachelors degree and endorsement in the grade / subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate.
• Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
• Any other qualifications that the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable

Goals : This position is responsible for the professional instructions designed to provide academic social physical and skills development for students in specific grades / subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.

Performance Responsibilities :

Supervisory Responsibility : Supervises students as designated on the class roster. Also supervises students in general common areas when class is not in session.

Working Conditions : Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.
