TITLE : Transportation Trainer

JOB DESCRIPTION :

The School Bus Trainer is responsible for training evaluating and supporting school bus drivers and transportation staff to ensure safe efficient and compliant transportation of students. This position oversees the development and delivery of initial and ongoing training programs ensures adherence to federal state and local transportation regulations and promotes a strong culture of safety and customer service within the transportation department.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in transportation safety or education preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a school bus driver with an excellent safety record.
• Possess and maintain class B commercial drivers license with passenger school bus and air brake endorsements and clean driving record.
• Prior experience in training or supervisory roles preferred.
• Valid Class B (or higher) Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Air brake (A) endorsements.
• Valid School Bus Instructor certification or ability to obtain.
