Job Title : Coordinator, Institutional Data

Department : Office of Institutional Research

Reports To : Director of Institutional Research

FSLA : Exempt

Summary : The Coordinator of Institutional Data provides management for data collection at the university including (but not limited to) creation, collection, organization, and development of data. This position manages research activities to include the distribution, interpretation, and evaluation of institutional data.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Administer surveys, conduct internal research, and prepare reports for the university and outside stakeholders.
  • Conduct internal research on matters related to the functioning of the institution.
  • Conduct studies regarding credit hours, grading, retention, student learning, instructional activity, tuition, and demographic information.
  • Aid departments with assessment needs for program evaluation, accreditation agencies, etc.
  • Facilitate university-wide assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Resolve data integrity issues.
  • Prepare reports, summarize data, and present results for multiple campus stakeholders.
  • Support the accreditation and assessment processes.
  • Serve as the IPEDS key holder.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Institutional Research on projects and data requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Prepare reports, databases, and spreadsheets using multiple software systems.
  • Create analytical reports.
  • Ability to work with large data sets, including exporting / importing from various sources, cleaning data files, and maintaining historical records.
  • Experience using Ellucian Colleague or similar system.
  • Experience using Argos or similar report-writing software and systems.
  • Experience using Weave or similar program for program review and accreditation purposes.
  • Effectively communicate with multiple campus stakeholders.
  • Maintain security of confidential student and employee information.
  • Education and Experience

    Required : At least 1 year of related experience. Competency in research design, statistics, and computer applications necessary, along with ability to learn new programs and systems.

    Preferred : Master’s degree in the social sciences or mathematics.

    Salary : $50,000-$54,000
