Nurse Manager Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Full-Time, Days)
Location : Plano, TX 75075 Salary Range : $84,849 $127,274 per year (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance : Available on a case-by-case basis
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Cardiac Stepdown Unit. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while managing unit operations, staff performance, and financial stewardship. The Nurse Manager will oversee daily workflows, support professional development, and promote a collaborative care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, goal-directed nursing care
- Lead and develop unit-based staff, promoting professional growth and clinical excellence
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Oversee departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective operations
- Drive patient, employee, and physician satisfaction initiatives
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration for optimal patient outcomes
- Support continuous process improvement and adherence to regulatory standards
- Foster a culture of safety and patient-centered care through education, coaching, and performance reviews
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in a cardiac stepdown or critical care setting required Experience in Magnet or Pathway to Excellence facilities highly preferredEducation : BSN required; MSN or master's degree in a related field preferredLicensure / Certifications : Current Texas RN license or compact state equivalent BLS and ACLS certifications required National specialty certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hireAdditional Details
