job_description.job_card.job_descriptionSupporting all environments online and batch activities Creation of deployment packages Using in-house and purchased applications to support business initiatives related to software releases Develops, communicates and coordinates deployment planning. Manages production implementation activities Escalating and coordinating service requests with other internal and external support groups Adheres to the client's policy, process and procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance existing ITIL processes (service requests, incident and problem management, change management, etc.). Actively develops and refines process and procedures specific to functional responsibilities and contributes to formulation of operational and tactical plans related to the functions he / she is responsible for. Develops, communicates and coordinates deployment planning. Manages production implementation activities. Plans and coordinates environment changes and collaborates with application programmers during pre-production development and maintenance of applications to plan for production schedules regarding the Ingenium and Life70 Test Environment. Assists the Manager of Environment Scheduling & Mainframe Operationsin managing and supporting technical vendor relations for the functions he / she is responsible for; assists with vendor identification and selection, contract negotiation and statement of work (SOW) reviews. Performs other related duties as assigned / required, including but not limited to : o On-call responsibility for production batch cycle and multiple test regions Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal and listening skills Strong Analytical and problem solving skills Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Ability to quickly and effectively accept and manage new support initiatives In-depth knowledge of computing systems typically associated Non-Prod Environments Life insurance enterprise products : i.e. Ingenium, Life70, IDM, AWD, etc. Enterprise job scheduling : CA Workload Automation ESP Edition Database / query tools i.e. AQT, SQL, WebFOCUS, UFT etc. Programming / scripting languages : Windows CMD,PowerShell, Python, Java, and Go Experience with Microsoft Products : i.e. O365, Office Suite, etc. Required : BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and / or equivalent combination of experience and training 5- 8 years of IT experience including project management supporting Non-Prod Environments Preferred : ITIL Foundation certificate and experience desired
Salary range : $85,400 - $140,900
Job Description
- Responsible for the day to day support of prod and non-prod testing cycles and software releases.
- Works closely with other support teams supporting end user testing as well as resolving test environment issues.
