This will be an in office position the majority of the time.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will provide leadership and coordinate activities at Family Resource Center. The Coordinator will provide support and guidance to FRC Staff and Volunteers. They will ensure that contract deliverables are met and will forecast and manage the budget. The FRC Coordinator will work with the team to provide outreach in the community and engage current and potential partners or service providers at the FRC. The will monitor program compliance including tracking essential requirements, documentation and reports on a daily basis. The FRC coordinator will ensure that all program reporting (collecting of data and surveys) for grantee funder and CPLC will be submitted in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • BA degree in Behavioral Health, Early Childhood, Education, Social Work or related field or ability to demonstrate that a BA degree will be completed within 1 year of employment  or  Minimum 5-year experience in coordinating and motivating staff, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments
  • Supervised experience working with parents and children
  • 5+ years of experience working with at-risk, moderate-risk, and high-risk families, knowledge on child development and parent-child interaction
  • Coordination and event planning, especially management of multiple simultaneous events
  • Strong project coordination skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands
  • Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, mental health and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect.
  • Knowledge and experience in strength-based and family-centered provision of primary prevention services, and / or direct experience as a family support worker.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the program finds appropriate and acceptable in accordance with funding guidelines.
