JOB SUMMARY : The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for providing multi-unit leadership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Ensures operational excellence for all hotels in portfolio; provides support, critique and guidance to hotels falling short of brand standards and / or company expectations
  • Oversee brand Quality Assurance compliance and performance, approving action plans generated by hotels
  • Collaborates with Vice President of Operations and corporate team in facilitating reporting and flow of information to ownership
  • Facilitates cross-regional communication to enhance operations, share best practices and leverage organizational resources
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned by Vice President of Operations, to include task force teams, due diligence and market analysis, new property openings and acquisitions
  • Acts as liaison between hotel General Manager, Property Support Team and Ownership
  • Acts as role model and provide guidance on company culture. Selects, develops, manages and leads management team members
  • Guide, develop and implement policies, procedures and systems to enhance business operations
  • Protect the company’s financial assets by reviewing hotel operations to ensure proper administration of company policies and procedures for handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and all other financial transactions
  • Ensure the correct administration of company policies and procedures to safeguard the safety of guests and employees
  • Conduct regular property inspections and visits
  • Complete property visit reports and establish action plans for performance improvement as necessary

  • REQUIRED / PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • Multi-unit experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in hotel industry required
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years General Manager experience required
  • ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must reside in Florida region
  • Travel is approximately 70% with overnight travel required
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Satisfactory criminal background screening required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, some weekend work may be required.
