Radiologic Technologist Coordinator

Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Oversees the performance of diagnostic x-ray procedures, technology, techniques and equipment. Schedules, trains and clinically supervises radiologic technologists and support care staff.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

1. Knowledge of radiologic positioning, use of technical factors and radiation safety practices.

2. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to radiography.

3. Skill in operating radiologic equipment, imaging capture devices, PACS and other related systems.

4. Ability to react appropriately and perform work under stressful and emergent situations.

5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

6. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.

7. Ability to effectively interact with patients, family, staff and physicians.

8. Ability to care for diverse patients throughout the age continuum.

9. Ability to exercise courtesy and professionalism in the work environment.

11. Ability to clinically supervise and evaluate employee work performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Graduate of a school of radiologic technology with current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required. Current Medical Radiographer licensure from the State of Nebraska required. One (1) year of experience as a full-time radiologic technologist required.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
