Hourly Pay : $34 – $48 (DOE; max rate at 18+ years)

Shift Differentials : +$4 / hr Nights & Weekends

Sign-On Bonus : $20,000

Overview

A leading hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join a high-acuity, multi-specialty surgical services department. OR RNs provide comprehensive perioperative care in a fast-paced environment supported by advanced technology, predictable posted scheduling, and a collaborative surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preoperative assessments and provide patient / family education.

Prepare patients for surgery, including IV initiation, medication administration, and surgical verification checks.

Participate in all perioperative safety processes : briefings, time-outs, debriefings, and universal protocol adherence.

Circulate and / or scrub into surgical procedures, supporting instrumentation, sterile field management, and workflow coordination.

Respond promptly to patient emergencies using strong critical-thinking and clinical skills.

Deliver high-quality intraoperative nursing care using evidence-based practice.

Monitor and document patient condition, interventions, and outcomes throughout the perioperative period.

Provide postoperative instructions and support safe transitions of care.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative leadership to ensure safe, efficient surgical experiences.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (scrub and / or circulating).

Current RN license (state or compact).

BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Preferred

OR experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment.

Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to manage high-acuity surgical workflows.
