What you ’ll do
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Define team goals and priorities, ensuring alignment with the firm’s systematic trading strategy and broader business objectives.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, enabling them to excel in their roles and grow professionally.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with trading teams, quantitative researchers, and application developers to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on infrastructure strategy and investments.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for systematic trading infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Oversee infrastructure operations across colocation sites globally, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure access to cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
- Provide high-level oversight of Linux systems, network platforms, and storage solutions, ensuring they are optimized for low-latency trading.
- Ensure infrastructure at colocation sites is designed and maintained to meet the unique demands of high-frequency trading.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability across infrastructure operations.
- Implement robust monitoring and troubleshooting processes to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Partner with Compliance to ensure infrastructure complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to data security, reliability, and operational risk.
- Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure management, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
What’s required
10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or runtime environments, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, distributed runtime platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).[KN1]Deep expertise in container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Nomad, OpenShift) and runtime environments.Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and serverless platforms.Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) for runtime platforms.Proven ability to optimize runtime environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.Commitment to the highest ethical standards.We take care of our people

The annual base salary range for this role is $275,000-$350,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level, among other things.
