Company Overview

We are a HVAC and Construction company who was founded in 2020 and growing at a rapid pace. We are headquartered out of Cincinnati and have additional locations in Columbus, Dayton, and Lexington. We work primarily in the commercial, industrial, and institutional end markets.

Position Overview

The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role is crucial for providing financial insights and supporting the strategic direction of the company, particularly in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to guide management decisions.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies for cash forecasting and job costing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor and control project budgets.
  • Lead the financial audit process and communicate with external auditors.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, promoting professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in construction accounting and job costing.
  • Strong skills in cash forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Paycor or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
