Position Description :

CGI is seeking a skilled Data Developer with strong PL / SQL, Python, and Snowflake experience to support high-impact data integration and analytics in the investment risk space.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with quantitative teams, build scalable ETL / ELT pipelines, and ensure data accuracy across complex systems. This is a Full Time Employment Opportunity located in Merrimack, NH or Boston, MA. in a Hybrid Model

Your future duties and responsibilities :

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL / ELT pipelines using PL / SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
  • Design and implement data integration solutions between various internal systems and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Quantitative teams to understand data needs related to risk pricing, exposure calculations, and performance metrics.
  • Create and manage complex stored procedures, functions, and scripts in Oracle and Snowflake environments.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
  • Monitor data jobs and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks or failures.
  • Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based platforms like Snowflake.
  • Contribute to the development of data models that support analytics and reporting needs in the investment risk space.
  • Follow best practices for data security, quality, and governance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL / SQL development including, complex queries / stored procedures / functions / triggers etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for performance.
  • Solid understanding of ETL / ELT concepts and data integration workflows.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex data models.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake – writing SQL, managing data pipelines etc.
  • Basic Python scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate thoughtful and informed points of view, backed by research and analysis, while remaining open to feedback and collaborative decision-making. Bring innovative ideas forward, yet aligns with team consensus and organizational goals.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
