SYSTEM TITLE : Quality Engineer
DEPARTMENT : 000225 – Inspection
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the administration of manufacturing processes that support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer strengthens product reliability and increases efficiency by working to develop quality procedures that prevent failures and increase production output of conforming parts while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.

The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Education, Training, and / or Experience
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality role in the manufacturing industry
- Experience in Composite Manufacturing, Aerospace preferred
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) tools and methods
- Ability to interpret engineering documents (e.g., technical drawings, specifications)
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma preferred

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
Oversee inspection and testing activities to verify product conformance to specifications and requirementsEvaluate manufacturing processes to identify quality improvement opportunities and implement data-driven solutionsDevelop and maintain quality control procedures and inspection protocols to support manufacturing operationsProvide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, procedures, and inspection methodsAnalyze defects and investigate part nonconformancesPerform root cause analyses (RCA) and develop respective corrective actionsAudit Quality systems and processes for effectivenessCreate inspection plans for new parts, materials, and processesResolve quality issues and enhance process reliabilityPrepare and present reports on quality performance metrics, trends, and audit findingsCollaborate with design and manufacturing teams to rectify quality issues and improve production operationsEngage in internal and external regulatory audits (e.g., AS9100, Nadcap)Correspond with customers and suppliers as necessaryOther duties or special projects as assignedManagement reserves the right to assign and / or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
