QMS Process Specialist

This position is located in Syracuse, NY.

Position Summary

T h is po sit i o n is p r im a r i ly res pon sible f o r the control and administration of the Integrated, Quality and Environmental, I SO M a na g e m en t Syst e m . T h e role re po r t s to t h e Q u a l i ty Systems Ma na g e r .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Creates, modifies, updates, distributes, and maintains all QMS documents, including work instructions, forms, procedures, policies and Quality Manual.

Creates, schedules, and manages quality audits

Provides ISO Management System training for auditors and employees

Supports the annual external ISO Management System Audits

Prepares materials such as charts, graphs, PowerPoints, tutorials and manuals

Provides regular data for analysis to the Quality System Manager

Updates and maintains information related to Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs), Specification Sheets, Capacity Curves, and Performance Data Sheets

Reviews updates to procedures and work instructions resulting from audits

Develops and administers training modules as needed

Collaborates with all levels of management

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; 3 years related experience in a related office administrative position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in a structured or regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485, or IATG 16949) is preferred. Experience with ERP systems is preferred, but not required.
