Responsibilities

Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional full time, night shift Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Definitive Observation Unit (intermediate care / telemetry). This unit primarily cares for cardiac and neurological diagnosis patients and all of our patients are on cardiac monitoring. Our LVN duties include, but are not limited to :

• cardiac maintenance or titratable drip care
• provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• meet the communication needs of the patient and family
• communicate to the RN about changes in patients' clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
• able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and / or response to treatment
• performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
