Field Biologist (Field Based)

ERM  is hiring a Field Biologist  to conduct biological monitoring for project efforts in North Dakota . Successful candidates will have grassland and Dakota Skipper habitat survey experience. This is a part-time (20+ hours / week), limited-term role for a duration of 2 weeks , extendable.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Conduct Dakota Skipper habitat surveys.

Bald and Golden eagle surveys, wetland and waterbody surveys, and T&E habitat surveys.

General prairie grassland species experience.

Electronic data collection.

Handheld and sub-meter accurate GPS data collection.

Daily reporting and survey report compilation.

Coordinating with project managers and resource specialists.

Other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s degree in a natural science field of study preferred.

Minimum of two field seasons with biological field work.

Ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and terrain.

Must have a strong attention to detail in documentation of work.

Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

Work schedule may include weekends and / or overtime.

Desire to work in the field for extended periods of time and maintain a positive attitude.

Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Demonstrated independent and effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
