Inventory Control Clerk

A Day in the Life :

As a primary contact for Safeway customers, the Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The ICC checks all merchandise delivered to the store and supervises all Direct Store Delivery (DSD). Oversees the return of salvageable merchandise. Walks the entire store every day to scan DSD and addresses areas of under or over ordering and / or out of stock conditions. Communicates with Store Director, order writers, night crew employees, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk. Knowledgeable of weekly ad and DSD displays. Monitors donations. Is responsible for grocery and non-perishable inventories. Pays direct delivery bills and tracks ROWSAP's. Oversees the reduction of backroom inventories. Maintains backroom security, cleanliness, and organization. Keeps track of all pallet and floor jacks and ensures the equipment works properly. Maintains backroom organization, safety, and backroom schematic integrity.
