JV Baseball Coach The function of a coach is to properly educate students through participation in interscholastic competition. The interscholastic program is designed to enhance academic achievement and should never interfere with opportunities for academic success. In recognition of this, the following are some guidelines for coaches. Coaches are educators and should set an example for student athletes. Coaches shall serve as a positive role model for their players. Coaches shall encourage student-athletes to maintain good grades. Coaches shall encourage and develop the sense of community.
