We’re hiring a Civil Engineer to support our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Civil Engineer will help us manage nationwide expansion efforts and support the Architecture team on Corporate and Branch projects. This position is fully remote.

Salary range : $123k-$137k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure Corporate & Branch facilities uphold the EquipmentShare design and engineering standards
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal Project Managers and other stakeholders to develop initial project goals including non-negotiable site design features, budget, and design and construction schedule,
  • Execute multiple projects under various deadlines
  • Work with 3rd party land survey and geotechnical engineering consultants to ensure information required for the site / civil design is performed on-schedule and within budget
  • Communicate and work with municipalities and other governing agencies, regarding site / civil design and plan requirements and, if needed, information required for zoning / rezoning efforts
  • On occasion it may be necessary to travel for in-person meetings with City or County employees and / or board or committee members, or other governing officials
  • Read, interpret, and explain complex technical documents to peers and leaders
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit to interpret site design requirements and to produce constructible specifications, plans, and details
  • Work with outside consultants in the form of client representation or liaison role
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, analysis techniques and other developments in civil engineering – demonstrate a passion for continuous learning
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    • Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional Registration in the State of Missouri along with current licensure in multiple other jurisdictions, or the ability to acquire licensure in various other states, is required - a current NCEES transmittable Record is strongly preferred
  • Able to work with a high degree of independence and be able to take the lead on initiatives with limited supervision is a must
  • Project experience spanning commercial, industrial, and residential sectors
  • Experience with new construction and renovation projects
  • Ability to apply, adapt, and manage, execution of civil engineering standards
  • Demonstrated project management skills for multiple concurrent projects
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Proficiency in the following software : AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit Bluebeam Civil engineering design & analysis software (StormCAD, HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS, Autodesk SSA, Bentley WaterCAD, ArcGIS, etc.) Procore construction project management platform Google Apps and / or Microsoft Office Suite

    • Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required
  • At least 8+ years experience in the field of Site / Civil engineering is required

    • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Traveling up to 15% to periodically visit our corporate office in Columbia, Mo., will be required.
