MEP Construction Superintendent

Working for a top National ENR General Contractor based out of Houston, TX. Strong backlog of $500M+ projects throughout Texas.

Job Description

Coordinate and manage all MEP field operations and subcontractors on multifamily construction sites. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for MEP systems. Ensure work is installed per plans, specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards. Interface daily with the general superintendent, project manager, subcontractors, and inspectors. Schedule and oversee inspections with local jurisdictions and third-party consultants. Conduct quality control inspections of MEP installations and document any deficiencies. Track and manage MEP construction progress and provide input for project schedule updates. Collaborate in the planning and execution of MEP system commissioning. Identify and help resolve coordination conflicts in the field, including clashes between trades. Maintain daily reports, job site photos, and logs of MEP activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety policies.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 8+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent or similar role, with a strong focus on data center projects. Solid knowledge of MEP systems and best practices in residential mid- and high-rise construction. Proven ability to manage MEP subcontractors and coordinate field activities. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.).
