Job title : Finance Manager

Job location : New York, NY 10017

Shift : 9 am to 5 pm

Pay : $40 - $47 / hr

Length : 3 months, Possible extension

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience; CPA is not required but preferred

Skills :

MS Office Suite : (advanced); Other : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;

1.Oracle experience preferred. Can rollup sleeves and work to meet deadlines.

2.Familiarity with compiling financial reports reflecting financial status and operating procedures of organizations.

3.Very good written and oral communication skills

4.Attention to detail and follow through all transactions until completion; Has Signatory Authority for Expenditures; Has Budget Accountability - May have budget accountability to the extent of oversight and reporting; Level of Physical Activity Required : Light

Job Description :

5+ years related field experience

1.Monitors monthly budget, fund and or / general ledgers for the department or DTP realignment and MSSN for DTP Finance;

2.Assist DTP Finance Team to run Operating reports in Oracle ERP System for the first week of the close.

3.Compare actual with budget during month end closing process. Prepare accruals and reclasses.

4.Prepare month end reporting by DEL / TLT, compare actual vs budget and provide variance analyses.

5.Help with consolidating OTPS budget during annual budget process from May to Nov.

6.Assist in requesting DTP purchase orders / requisitions, contracts, change orders, invoices and check requests as needed.

7.Recommend and implement approved changes for efficiencies, documenting those procedures.

8.Other Ad Hoc projects assigned by Director of Finance.
