Collin Higher Education Center

Provide leadership to ensure teaching excellence and student success in online and weekend academic and workforce programs at Collin College.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff for the assigned disciplines on the iCollin Virtual Campus.
  • Provide leadership in the hiring and performance management of the academic division consistent with core values and the college's academic standards.
  • Provide leadership and monitor progress in the implementation of the college strategic plan for the division.
  • Serve as liaison between the academic division and various departments, programs, and services to coordinate dual credit offerings, service learning, the honors institute, and honor societies.
  • Assist the provost and dean in developing online and weekend class schedules.
  • Assist in formulating and recommending the annual budget for the assigned disciplines.
  • Foster effective communication between faculty, staff, and administrators within the division, as well as with other areas of the college.

  • Physical Demands, Working Conditions, and Physical Effort :

    Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and / or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking, and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.

    Requirements :

    Master's degree from an accredited institution. Five (5) years of higher education administrative and / or teaching experience (to include at least two (2) years of administrative-level experience in higher education with a minimum of one (1) year of teaching in higher education required. One (1) year of supervisory experience required.

    Preferred :

    Doctoral degree from an accredited institution, preferred.

    Previous supervision of remote faculty / teams is preferred.

  • This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
  • Compensation Type : Salary

    Employment Type : Full time

    Hiring Minimum : $92,862.00

    Hiring Maximum : $111,434.40

    Compensation is determined based on experience.
