Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. 3–5 years of experience in an environmental health and safety role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a theme park or amusement park environment is highly desired. Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or environmental studies preferred (or equivalent work experience). A professional designation such as OHST, CHST, ASP, or CSP is preferred but not required. Expertise in safety concepts, including Cal OSHA / Title 8 regulations, LOTO, fall protection, walking working surfaces, steel erection, power tool usage, and electrical safety. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and electronic database systems (SharePoint, GenSuite, Intelex, Avetta, BROWZ).
Job Description :
Pay Range : $30hr - $35hr
Responsibilities :
- Develop and document site-specific Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to control hazardous energy during maintenance or servicing of machinery.
- Assist in pre-qualification and compliance of site contractors and vendors within the EHS Contractor Safety Database.
- Recognize, evaluate, and provide guidance on potential safety or environmental hazards to minimize operational impact.
- Provide project status updates and safety performance metrics to department management and stakeholders.
- Actively engage in EHS responsibilities by following established policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
- Ensure project compliance with local and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety objectives.
