Mandate :
Reporting to the VP of Mediterranean Trade, the Sales Development Manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, expanding the client base, and supporting trade lane strategies across the Asia and Europe markets. This role collaborates cross-functionally to align sales efforts with operational and market objectives, leading to the success of international trade initiatives.
Requirements :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and new business development within the freight forwarding and logistics industry, with a strong focus on international trade.
- In-depth knowledge of the Italian market and proven experience navigating other key regions including Asia, Europe, and South America.
- Strong understanding of air and ocean freight, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions, with emphasis on both import and export operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies tailored to local market dynamics, including client acquisition and retention in complex trade environments.
- Proven success in building and managing relationships with key stakeholders across multinational accounts, with the ability to adapt to diverse business cultures and practices.
- Knowledge of Cargo Wise and Salesforce is considered an asset
