We’re hiring a User Research Moderator for an on-site opportunity in Sherman Oaks, California. This is a part-time, 6-month opportunity with a leading video game company known for creating iconic, industry-defining entertainment experiences.
You’ll join the User Research team to help run playtests and user studies that inform the design and player experience of upcoming games. This team is passionate about innovation, player insights, and pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling. The role requires on-site presence up to 3 days per week.
User Research Moderator Responsibilities :
Run user tests including participant intake / outtake, set-up, observation, and recording of player experiences.
Collect and organize research data during playtests.
Support lab operations including equipment, testing stations, and room maintenance.
Assist with participant recruiting as needed.
User Research Moderator Qualifications :
Passion for video games; familiarity with at least one major gaming franchise preferred.
High school diploma / GED or equivalent required.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written & verbal).
Professional, adaptable, and comfortable balancing varied tasks.
Experience with first-person shooters on console (preferred).
Exposure to user research, UX, or game testing (preferred).
