Sterling KIA is seeking a dependable and motivated Service Assistant to support our Service Department. This role combines shop support with hands-on training toward becoming a Service Advisor. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly while gaining valuable customer service and service writing experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Move, transport, and park vehicles on the lot and to nearby locations
- Assist customers with shuttle transportation as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and tidying work areas
- Support technicians and service staff with general shop needs
- Assist service advisors with writing repair orders and capturing customer concerns
- Help provide quotes, estimates, and updates to customers in a clear, professional manner
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure services are completed accurately and on time
- Assist in greeting customers in the service lane and moving vehicles for drop-off and pick-up
- Develop strong communication and customer service skills to create lasting relationships
Qualifications & Job Requirements :
Reliable transportation to and from workAbility to work independently and take initiativeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedPrior experience in a similar role is a plus, but not requiredStrong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detailMust successfully complete a pre-employment background check & drug screenMust have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of age due to insurance purposesMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is requiredSchedule : Full-time, Monday-Friday
