Our client, a leader in technology solutions, is seeking a M365 System Administrator to join their team. As a M365 System Administrator, you will be part of the IT department supporting the Department of Energy, Office of Science. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, effective multitasking abilities, and a self-motivated work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : M365 System Administrator

Location : Onsite in Lemont, Illinois

What's the Job?

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Azure AD / Entra ID.
  • Provide Tier II / Tier III support for M365-related incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 services to ensure secure and compliant operations.
  • Assist in managing guest account lifecycle and Azure AD B2B external collaboration settings.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators and cybersecurity teams to support secure operations.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in M365 administration or enterprise messaging support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
  • Strong documentation and procedural skills.
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in a federal environment (NIST 800-53, FIPS 140-3, FedRAMP - preferred).
