Certain spaces have an unmistakable quality. You instinctively want to understand what makes them work. If you're a designer who grasps both granular detail and overarching systems, who prefers engaging with physical environments over digital presentations, and who knows that beautiful, functional spaces can be systematically scaled, this role channels that perspective into tangible outcomes.
We are establishing a national network of 2 Hour Learning campuses—environments where students complete a full day's academic work in two focused hours, then devote the remainder of their time to passion projects, life skills development, and physical activity. Your responsibility is to make these spaces memorable. As the execution lead for interior environments across our network, you will establish modular frameworks for layout, FF&E, play areas, and wayfinding. You will guarantee precise implementation at every location. You will visit campuses, identify overlooked deficiencies, define upgrade scopes, and shepherd them from budgeting through installation.
This role differs from conventional design positions in that it keeps you connected to implementation. You will not simply deliver drawings and step back. You will be present—refining the installation, guiding the vendor, and gathering insights that strengthen subsequent deployments. If you are prepared to translate design expertise into nationwide influence, this is your opportunity.
What You Will Be Doing
Establish modular, self-service design frameworks for layout, FF&E, materials, and play areas that function across a variety of campus contexts.
Perform on-site evaluations using standardized assessment tools to measure alignment with brand expectations and identify high-value enhancements.
Produce detailed, visually documented, and budgeted recommendations for space improvements that align with pedagogy, brand identity, and parent expectations.
Supervise vendor implementation on-site, maintaining adherence to standards, budgets, and schedules through continuous quality assurance.
Complete the feedback cycle after installation by recording successes and failures, then revising operational guides to reflect learnings.
What You Won't Be Doing
Creating unique, custom environments that cannot be systematically reproduced or expanded.
Delivering specifications and disengaging. You are accountable from initial audit through final installation.
Awaiting flawless instructions. This position values proactive decision-making, rapid prototyping, and sound judgment amid uncertainty.
Generating open-ended design concepts in isolation. All work is tightly connected to brand guidelines and operational realities.
Staying desk-bound. Expect to be in the field 50-75% of your working time.

U.S.-based and authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
Background designing premium environments with rigorous quality expectations, such as boutique hospitality, luxury retail, or high-end private client projects.
