Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable (Onsite | First Shift | $25-$30 / hr)

Location : Milwaukee, WI

Schedule : Monday-Friday, First Shift

Compensation : $25-$30 per hour (based on experience)

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and process improvement? We're looking for an Accounting Specialist - Accounts Payable to join our team and play a key role in keeping our financial operations accurate, efficient, and running smoothly.

In this onsite, position, you'll work directly with the Controller and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payments and accurate financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of independent work and team collaboration in a stable, professional environment.

What You'll Do

• Process invoices by verifying pricing, quantities, and purchase orders
• Coordinate invoice approvals and ensure compliance with company policies
• Manage weekly payment processing, including checks, ACH, and supporting documentation
• Prepare AP-related reports and accruals during month-end close
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting
• Review and process employee expense reports and credit card statements
• Track and analyze expenses through spreadsheets and reports
• Cross-train and assist in other accounting areas as needed
