Description :

The City of Fishers is hiring Lifeguards to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors. Were looking for vigilant safety-minded individuals who enjoy working with the public and take pride in maintaining a secure aquatic setting. As a lifeguard youll monitor our indoor pool at the Community Center year-round and during the summer months you may work at the Geist Waterfront Park beach.

Examples of Duties

• Supervise swimming activities and ensure that policies guidelines and safety procedures are followed.
• Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Perform water rescues administers proper first aid and / or CPR if needed.
• Participate in community activities / rental events at the Fishers Community Center pool and / or Geist Waterfront Park.
• Refrain from socializing while guarding and follow proper radio protocol when communicating with staff.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons by addressing inquiries resolving concerns and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Solicit feedback from participants to continuously improve programs and services.
• Attend mandatory meetings and coach development in-services as scheduled.
• Set up and put away deck furniture.
• Perform duties as assigned.
