The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and related documentation. This role involves matching packing slips to invoices, verifying details, and entering data into the accounting system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a high volume of transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receive and review vendor invoices, primarily via email.
• Print invoices and match them with corresponding packing slips.
• Verify accuracy of invoice details, including quantities, pricing, and purchase order information.
• Enter invoice data into the accounting system for payment processing.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, packing slips, and related documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information.
• Assist with month-end closing and other accounting tasks as needed.

Top Skills Details

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
