General Clerk III -Service Order Dispatcher (Work Control) position primarily receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' requests for service on articles or utilities purchased from wholesale or retail establishment or utility company, records information, such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered, prepares work order and distributes to service crew, schedules service calls and dispatches service crew. The Service Order Dispatcher calls or writes the customer to ensure satisfactory performance of service, keeps a record of service calls and work orders, may dispatch orders and relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments using radio or cellular telephone equipment.. This is a highly responsible and detailed clerical position .The ideal EMI Service Order Dispatcher has knowledge of dispatching methods and familiarity with building maintenance needs and service requirements.
Salary
18.56 / hr. plus $4.93 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities
Distinguish tickets in the query and assigns them to the correct department and assigns work to appropriate crafts personnelRelay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments by phone and SmartsheetSchedule and dispatches all preventative and cyclic maintenance work ordersInput technician’s time and notes in the ticketClose out tickets by putting them in a completed status with detailed notes for documentationTroubleshoot any discrepancies or researches complex work orders when necessaryKeeps record of service calls and work orders by maintain proper filing of completed work ordersIssue and sign out keys to subcontractors working on the contractMaintain key, fleet, and gas card logsAssists in compiling reports related to the unit's activitiesPerform other related duties as assignedEssential Skills
Knowledgeable in current office equipment and standard business computer programs and proficient in MaximoTraining will be provided for use of Maximo and other maintenance software requiredConsiderable knowledge of office practices, procedures, equipment, and standard clerical techniquesSome knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practicesSome knowledge of building maintenance needs and service requirementsSome knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and equipment of the building tradesType; operate a personal computer, with emphasis on accuracy, mental alertness, and neatnessAdaptable and flexible in work situationsPrioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely mannerRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent2+ years in a related administrative position or formal vocational / technical training in office workValid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain onePass a pre-employment drug screening and background checkRegular, dependable attendanceU.
