Information Technology Solutions Architect
Base pay range : $80.00 / hr - $90.00 / hr
Position Overview
The IT Solutions Architect plays a critical leadership role in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level technology solutions. This individual collaborates closely with analysts, staff, physicians, and executive leadership to deliver innovative, technology-enabled workflows that drive efficiency, user adoption, and organizational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership experiencecapable of translating complex business needs into effective technology solutions that advance the Universitys mission and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Engineering & Innovation : Design and optimize workflows across multiple clinical and operational domains to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Lead the implementation of forward-thinking solutions that leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Anticipate future needs and propose innovative technology strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact projects using standard project management methodologies.
- Serve as an independent project lead or provide oversight to project managers and business analysts, ensuring quality, timeliness, and business value.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- System Analysis & Optimization : Conduct proactive analysis of existing systems and technologies to identify improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements.
- Define product and customization requirements, ensuring configuration aligns with scope, budget, and timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration or implementation challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship : Serve as a mentor to senior analysts, foster skill development and promote best practices in application support and solution design.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of supported applications, third-party integrations, and vendor ecosystems.
- Manage vendor relationships, including partnership strategy, performance monitoring, and contract negotiations.
- Partner with leadership to refine and improve operational processes, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in operational and strategic meetings to gather user feedback, assess adoption, and ensure solutions meet evolving needs.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer across teams, supporting continuous learning and optimal application utilization.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.Experience : Minimum of 7 years of relevant IT or solutions architecture experience, with demonstrated success in leading large-scale application development and implementation projects.Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, TOGAF, Epic, or other application-specific credentials) preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
