Position Purpose : The EKG Monitor Technician contributes to providing quality patient care under the direct supervision of a RN by performing a variety of functions including the reading of EKG strips, transcribing of physician orders into the order entry system, as well as unit administrative, receptionist and clerical duties.

General Job Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved EKG or related program or have received appropriate and related training
• CPR Certification required
• Able to monitor, report, document and provide arrhythmia interpretation
• Able to monitor and manage Telemetry supplies and equipment
• Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
• Customer service training with good phone etiquette
• Prior experience providing data and / or order entry
• Medical Terminology training ideal
• Full vaccination against Covid-19 required
• Current vaccination against Influenza
