Maps Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Maps Credit Union, seeks an experienced, driven, and licensed Commercial Insurance Account Executive to maintain and grow an established portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This position serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and tailored insurance solutions. A strong understanding of commercial insurance products, combined with the ability to build and maintain relationships, is essential for success in this role. A hybrid work schedule is available!
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses, including property, general liability, inland marine, cyber, EPLI, automobile, professional, contractors' equipment, D&O, workers' compensation, and other policies offered through Maps Insurance Services.
- Prepare and present proposals, market new and renewal business, and facilitate the issuance of insurance policies.
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions with insurance carriers.
- Analyze and assess commercial clients' risks and exposures, providing recommendations and options to mitigate these risks.
- Professionally resolve complaints, disputes, and grievances with clients and servicing representatives.
- Work cross-organizationally with staff and management to achieve Maps Insurance Services' sales and production goals. Perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions and preserve the integrity of the business’s reputation, as well as our client relationships.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements, and educate clients on relevant changes.

A high school diploma or equivalent.Two (2) years of experience with small to medium commercial lines insurance.Experience managing a book of business is required.Prior insurance experience in a brokerage environment preferred.An Oregon Property and Casualty license is required.Must possess a valid driver's license.Must be bondable.Starting Salary : $70,000 per year plus commission. An alternative commission compensation structure is available depending on candidate experience.
Work Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30am - 5 : 30pm.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) after successful completion of a 90-day training period.
