Description

Student Accounts Analyst

Midway University is seeking applicants for the position of Student Accounts Analyst . The ideal candidate will combine strong customer service abilities with advanced data analysis skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and a keen eye for accuracy and reconciliation. This position reports to the Director of Student Accounts and plays a key role in analyzing, reconciling, and reporting student account data while supporting timely payment collection.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile student accounts to ensure accuracy of charges, payments, and credits.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports to monitor payment activity and account status.
  • Generate and interpret aging reports using Ellucian Colleague to identify delinquent accounts.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support the collection of past-due balances.
  • Accept and process payments from students, parents, and outside scholarship agencies as needed.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for students and parents regarding account questions.
  • Participate in presentations for parent and / or student groups as it relates to the Business Office.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in student accounts, accounting, or data analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, oral, and customer service communication skills.
  • Proven ability to clearly present to a group in a professional setting.
