The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring a Veterinary Assistant Intern for a winter internship at our Racine Campus! This is an unpaid, seasonal internship scheduledup to 30 hours per week. This internship is ideal for those interested in veterinary or shelter medicine fields and provides the opportunity to assist our veterinary staff with a variety of duties and gain valuable experience. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and living arrangements. Key accountabilities :

• Preparing and / or administering animal treatments
• Assisting with surgery preparation and surgical recovery
• Assisting with the movement of patients, recovery of patients, and general flow
• Cleaning of veterinary clinic and exam rooms
• Assisting with foster animal exams and rechecks
