As a Surgical Technologist I specializing in General Surgery, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care during surgical procedures. If you are detail-oriented, adaptable, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Shift : 2nd Shift, Full-time (40 hours per week)

Compensation : $26.10 - $39.15 with potential for premium and incentive pay, plus regular performance-based increases.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment and adhere to aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist with various procedural tasks, anticipating surgeons' needs.
  • Ensure the operating room is set up for each case, managing equipment and supplies.
  • Serve as a 2nd Assistant as necessary and communicate effectively with medical staff.
  • Transport patients and maintain specialty carts for procedures.
  • Continually assess and demonstrate knowledge appropriate to patient ages served.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months.
  • No prior experience necessary; we welcome new graduates!

    • Physical and Working Conditions :

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights specified (up to 50 lbs).
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and must wear protective gear.
