Assistant Project Manager — Custom Home Building

Our client is a leading custom home builder in the Austin area.
We are seeking an organized, motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our growing portfolio of custom residential projects.
Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and field teams to ensure smooth planning, coordination, and execution of custom home builds. This role requires a strong understanding of residential construction processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating custom home construction projects
- Support the Project Manager in managing budgets, timelines, and subcontractors
- Help maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, permits, and daily logs
- Conduct site visits to track progress and ensure quality and safety standards
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members to facilitate project needs
- Help troubleshoot issues and propose solutions to keep projects on track
Qualifications
College Education preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in custom home building or high-end residential constructionStrong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and material procurementProficient with project management software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyWhat We Offer
